Private Rx takes every effort to ensure that the information published on this website is accurate. However, we cannot accept any liability for the accuracy or content. Visitors who rely on this information do so at their own risk.

Private-Rx is a professional forum for discussion of pharmacy related issues by pharmacists. There is no form of moderation or censorship, but as a professional forum, members are expected to conduct themselves in a suitably professional manner. The contribution of any material which is considered inappropriate for a professional discussion forum may result in sanctions being imposed by Media Infocom Ltd including, but not limited to, suspension or banning from the list. Members are reminded that the forum is widely read by many pharmacists and standards of conduct expected are similar to those observed at a local RPSGB branch meeting.

As a forum for professional matters, only messages with relevance to the sphere of pharmacy should be sent to list. If you wish to discuss matters beyond this (for example football or general politics) or if a thread diverts from the original pharmacy based issue, these messages should be directed to the chat list (chat@private-rx.com) where more informal discussion is expected.

The use by subscribers of the Private-Rx mailing lists for the distribution of electronic junk mail or unsolicited commercial email is strictly prohibited. In addition, the mailing lists may not be used to disseminate material which is:

All messages sent to the mailing lists are copyright of the sender and may not be reproduced or forwarded outside the lists whether in part or in whole, without the author's explicit consent.

Advertising or promotion of commercial services via Private-Rx without our prior consent is strictly forbidden. Members who fail to observe this term are liable to a charge of £10 per word, with a minimum charge of £300 applicable to each offending message posted. An invoice will be despatched to the member who posts the advert at their RPSGB or PSNI registered address. Payment will be expected within 28 days.

Media Infocom Ltd reserves the right to suspend or remove from Private-Rx without notice any member found to be in breach of these terms and conditions.

Media Infocom Ltd has taken every reasonable precaution to protect Private-Rx users from viruses and to ensure the confidentiality of messages and e-mail addresses of users of the site. However we cannot guarantee the safety of any messages posted or protect users from viruses and other problems related to the Internet. Therefore Media Infocom Ltd will bear no responsibility or liability for any problems you may encounter using the service. Users use Private-Rx at their own risk.

Media Infocom Ltd. has created this privacy statement in order to demonstrate our firm commitment to privacy. The following discloses our information gathering and dissemination practices for the Private-Rx website.

Pharmacists wishing to become members of Private-Rx are required to give us contact information (such as their name and email address) and unique identifiers (such as their RPSGB registration number). We use contact information gathered from the registration form to send members occasional information about current developments at Private-Rx. The same information is also used to contact members individually when necessary. Members may opt-out of receiving future mailings; see the choice/opt-out section below. Unique identifiers (such as RPSGB registration number) are collected to verify the user's identity.

When you register and use our web site, you will be asked to provide certain personal information such as your contact details. We may also collect details of your domain name and IP address, operating system, your browser type and the web site that you visited prior to our web site. We will store the data that you provide to us on computers or otherwise. We will comply with the requirements of all Data Protection legislation in force in England and Wales from time to time. In particular, you may request a copy of any personal data held by us about you upon written application.
